Our adventure official starts tomorrow with our cross training at Rancho La Scherpa. Our seven team mimbers include Carol and Todd as our leaders and then Heather, Nicki, Julia, Paul, and me, Tori. Our team plus the other teams traveling to Honduras, Turkey, China, and Uganda will be there as well. We will participate in team building activites such as low and high ropes courses, conflic resolution seminars, culture learining, worship, bible studies, and many more exciting lessons. Almost Time
I am looking forward to Cross Training. It is such an amazing time of worship, focus, learning and growing. As a team we will grow closer to each other, and form bonds that will last for years to come.
Living in Southern California can be very distracting to our Christian walk. Between keeping up with TV episodes, updating our Twitter, and checking our Facebook accounts every fifteen minutes, we loose sight of the little things God has put in our lives. Cross Training is a great chance for us to be with our creator and His creation. We can be quite and simple worship who He is.
In addition, we spend time learning about who we are as Christian, who we are as Americans, and who we are individually. We get to open our minds to gaze into other cultures, and see how we are like or unlike each other, and celebrate those differences. Lastly, we get to learn about who God is, and the wonders He has made.
Cross Training is a time that we will never forget, and it is only the start of our amazing journey.
In short, I AM SO EXCITED!
